Letter to Iliana*

The following is a note we wrote our Foster Daughter Iliana*, upon her leaving our home after a 2-week emergency placement. She and her sister Evie, were leaving our home and heading to what we hoped was a long term placement, until their family were ready for them to return, or their plan was changed to adoption.

It was a short stay, but it was very impactful on us, and hopefully her and her sister as well.

Dear Iliana,

Thank you for staying with us this past week.  We really enjoyed getting to know you! You are are an incredible person, and we loved having you in our house.  You are great sister to Evie*, and we really appreciated how helpful you were to Ava* too.  You are such a kind, funny, talented person, and we loved teaching you how to skateboard. We like your ambitious attitude.  I hope you had fun staying with us, and you enjoyed staying here as much as we enjoyed having you. You and Evie are such strong individuals and an even stronger team. If you ever need anything, even just to talk, you can absolutely contact us.

w/ Love, Aaron + Jewell

If you have not yet, please check out the letter we wrote to Evie, Iliana’s sister, as she moved from our home.
