Letters to Kiddos

All names have been changed, but the content is real. These are letters that we wrote to some of our children, mostly written as a goodbye note, as they left our home. They are raw, full of emotion, but above all, written out of love.

Correspondence to DHS

These are mainly transcripts of e-mails between us and DHS.  These provide insights into what it is like to work with DHS. There are e-mails about potential placements, as well as e-mails advocating for our kiddos.

Notes to Bios

A few of the notes we sent with our kiddos on their visits, to try and create a relationship with them, and learn about their child, so that we can care for them better.

Statements in Court

As a foster parent, you are usually offered the opportunity to speak at court. We typically refrain from speaking, aside from providing basic updates on the kiddos. However, sometimes there is a need for us to give a detailed account of our opinions in the best interest of the kiddos.
